Publicity Package

Organization: St. Luke’s Leeds is a mission-focused Anglican Church in rural eastern Ontario, Canada. They are known for their community support through their thrift shop and outreach programmes. St. Luke’s Leeds is an inclusive community and open and supportive to all.

Audience: Senior citizens, and other adults in the area, who require assistance or wish to help others in their local community.

Problem: Produce a publicity package including a press release, poster, and Facebook post to announce the expansion of St. Luke’s Helping Hands Rural Transportation Assistance programme and to encourage senior citizens to contact St. Luke’s Leeds when they need a ride to an appointment, so they can stay healthy and obtain the social services they need. The secondary call to action in this project is to ask potential volunteer drivers to contact St. Luke’s. The source of the funds had to be identified in the copy.

Solution: The copy focuses on the benefits of participating in the Helping Hands Rural Transportation Assistance programme as either a rider or a volunteer. A shoutout to the funding source, the Government of Canada New Horizons for Seniors Program, is clearly identified in all creative.
